With my team of freelancers, I can offer very sought-after combinations, with Spanish, Italian, Hungarian or Dutch for instance, on top of the languages I work with myself, which are French, English and German. I choose the interpreters based on language combination, location and specialist knowledge.

I put the interpreting team together for each individual assignment, taking the specific project, needs and requirements into consideration. All of the interpreters have a qualification from an institution of higher education and are members of an interpreting association. In other words, they’re highly qualified and experienced, have cultural as well as linguistic expertise, a good feel for language and can keep a cool head when the interpreting action starts to heat up.

There are a lot of qualified conference interpreters in the federal state in which I’m based (North Rhine-Westphalia) – that’s because of the Technische Hochschule (university of applied sciences) in Cologne, which offers a master’s programme in conference interpreting.

In the run-up to the event, all the team members research the topics to acquire the necessary specialist knowledge and learn the terminology typical of the field.
